Things to do in Kootenay National Park

Kootenay National Park sits on the British Columbia side of the divide, strung along Highway 93 South (the Banff-Windermere Parkway) between Castle Junction and Radium Hot Springs, roughly a 1 h 30 min drive across the park.

It is a separate national park from Yoho, which lies further north around Field, and from Kananaskis Country, which is provincial land with its own Kananaskis Conservation Pass.

A Parcs Canada pass is required here too, even for a straight drive-through: about 11 CAD per adult per day or 22 CAD per vehicle, with an annual Discovery Pass around 75 CAD per adult.
